MinebeaMitsumi's linear regulators (LDOs) features products that take advantage of the strengths of both CMOS and bipolar processes : they support output currents from 100 mA to 1.5 A and offer additional functions such as soft start, reverse current protection and auto discharge, as well as output current detection, temperature sensor output and other special functions are available. MinebeaMitsumi MM1936 is a 100mA LDO for antennas with connection error detection. It detects open/short-circuit of the power supply and output load of external connection devices (GPS, TV, microphone) connected to the car navigation system. When a short-circuit is detected, the LDO output is automatically switched off, thus improving safety.
